On Monday November 2, 2015 former President Goodluck Jonathan (photo: left) visited President Muhammadu Buhari at the presidential villa in Abuja.
This unusual second visit sparked discussions, analysis, comments and insinuations amongst the populace that the ex-president must have gone to the president to plead for either leniency or a soft landing considering the persistent ongoing war against corruption by the Buhari administration.
These insinuations etc prompted the presidency to release a statement saying that the ex-president can visit Aso Villa at any time of his choosing.
