Rochas Okorocha

The governor of Imo state, Gov. Rochas Anayo Okorocha received the agitating youth leaders of the Movement for the Actualisation of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB) in Owerri.

Okorocha said this in a lecture he presented to the eminent gathering at the Radio Nigeria 2015 Annual Lecture held in Abuja on Monday November 16, 2015.

The members of the audience at the Radio Nigeria show included the Etsu of Nupe, the Sardauna of Sokoto, other traditional rulers, the Director General of Radio Nigeria and the Minister of Information Alhaji Lai Mohammed, among others.

Gov. Okorocha, who delivered the keynote lecture without a prepared script began his lecture with his now ubiquitous rap, “My People! My People!!”

In his lecture, Rochas (as he is popularly called) told the assemblage that surprisingly he got a message that the agitating MASSOB youth leaders wanted to see him. Rochas said that he immediately called President Muhammad Buhari and told him. President Buhari agreed and told him to meet them.

Roaches said that during introduction they each stood up to introduce themselves, starting with LATE as in Late so so and so as their names, each.

“I wondered why I should talk to dead people because I was still alive” Rochas hollered in his lecture.

Rochas said that they went ahead to list their grievances which necessitated their demand for the return of the state of Biafra.
